Doppelganger: Flared

The 70’s are back and it’s no surprise that one of their most iconic pieces, the flared jeans, are back too. It took me quite a while to trade my skinny jeans for a more wide-legged style, thanks to my fear to look like I did in high school, circa 2003. On Ton Petit Look, I shared a few tips on how to wear flared jeans in a more trendy way. _DSC4003copy

I think the key is to wear them with a flowy top that’s tucked in. It’s counterintuitive, but it gives the whole outfit a boho flair that’s on point. Wearing the right shoes is also paramount, as you don’t want your jeans to drag on the ground.

It took me a while to adopt the trend, and it’s really when I saw how Madewell styled it in such a classy way their spring catalog that I decided to give it a go. Madewell Spring
