Simple

When updating my wardrobe, I usually go through phases. I get fun printed pieces for a while, and then I get sick of it and want to build a minimalist wardrobe. I oscillate between my two favorite stores, Free People and Madewell. I’m currently in a minimalist phase, and a key piece of a minimalist wardrobe is a good basic t-shirt. Which is something that can, surprisingly, be hard to find. Okay- you can find t-shirts everywhere. But a soft, comfy, cute, well-fitting one? Not so easy.

ONNO t-shirts, an organic brand based in Boulder, Co., might be the winner. I received two t-shirts from them a few weeks ago (one white, one black), and we might have a winner! Their t-shirts are ridiculously soft, comfortable, and have an amazing fit. They are long, but not too tight or too boxy either. I don’t have the most slender arms, and I hate when t-shirts are tight on the arms… which is usually the case when they are not slouchy. Those aren’t tight on the arms!

Denver weather also goes through phases… the last few weeks felt like summer and a couple days later, we were back to winter. I just try to make the most of the warm days by wearing sandals and short skirts. I definitely wouldn’t have worn that on Friday when we had a snowstorm!

  1. Hello Sara,
You are quite right! The basic training shirt is a must, and I often hard to find… or to trade for a new one.
8 must that my go to basic is definitely a soft material such as stretch velvet pencil skirt. Preferably in black so it may fit all the time, over legging to transform my yoga outfit into a city hipster style 😉
À basic perfect for a simple comfy city life!
    Thanks for your inspiration
