Free People: Opening of the new Denver store

If you read this blog I’m sure you already know that I live in Free People clothes. I love their products, but I also love the brand in general. They’re very interactive with their customers and as much as possible, try to create a community by engaging their consumers in numerous activities: their FPxME platform through their app, their review system, their FPME activities and retreats and their blog, Building 25 (which refers to the location of their home office in Philadelphia). Through their blog and social platforms, they promote a healthy lifestyle by discussing healthy food, an adventurous lifestyle, yoga and exercise and the beauty in little things. Their popularity cannot be denied as they just opened up a new store in Cherry Creek (Denver), 7 times the size of their previous space. This makes this store the second biggest one in North America. Such an event inevitably called for an opening party, which I attended on November 6th. _DSC7846 (1)They really worked hard to make the ambiance festive with a cool band and decorations that the store employees worked extremely hard to put in place. This surely put me in the mood for the holidays (isn’t it crazy how going to the mall in November can have such an impact on you!). _DSC7843_DSC7844_DSC7734

One of the great additions to the store is the FP intimates section. Finally, more than just the bralettes (even though I love them). _DSC7735_1

As if the beauty of the store wasn’t enough, these Denver-based Acro-yogis were stealing the show while putting the clothes from the new FP movement section of the store on display. _DSC7736_1 _DSC7737_1 (1) _DSC7739_1My favorite new section, by far, is the shoes section. Free People has so many unique pieces in that category but I always struggle to buy shoes online. Being able to try them on is a huge plus. _DSC7741_1 _DSC7744_1 Amber Wilson, the store’s visual manager (aka the “dream job”), said that getting the store ready for its opening was exhausting but so rewarding. Her excitement was palpable as she was telling me that they hired about 25 new stylists and a handful of managers to handle the growing business. Isn’t she lovely? So much, in fact, that I decided to show you my tired face with goth lipstick just so I could show you her happy face. She also has one of my favorite Instagram feeds, that you can find here_DSC7748 _DSC7754_1 _DSC7758_1

As Free People is promoting a healthy lifestyle, the choice of snacks and refreshments was more than appropriate: meatless meatballs, handmade granola balls and delicious fresh juices with ginger and spices.

_DSC7766_1I couldn’t help but try on these perfect thigh high boots (I might have to go back and snag them soon). _DSC7771_1

With so much choice in the store I couldn’t help but play dress up. I tried to pick pieces that I loved but would not necessarily buy just for fun.
