Fresh.

I have so much mint in my garden, it’s getting ridiculous. I think it’s an invasion! At least I love mojitos, so I’ve made those my drink of predilection this summer… and my official 4th of July drink as well. And as my official outfit, well… I’ve adopted a really easy one. A denim dress, a red bandana, and that’s it. I’m not really into wearing the American flag (or wearing the Canada flag or Quebec flag, since this is where I’m from). I’ve tried it in the past, and it always makes me feel like I’m wearing a costume. So I just try to incorporate the colors into a regular outfit to make it fun, and add a bandana for the missing color (they’re pretty on trend right now).

Sometimes, you have to pay your photographer with mojitos, ha! In case you didn’t know, I’m a terrible bartender. I almost only drink wine, so when it comes to mixing cocktails, I’m pretty clueless. This one turned out okay, I think!

Doesn’t this look refreshing?_DSC1655copy_DSC1658copy_DSC1683copy_DSC1652copy

I’m pretty happy with our new backyard… we built this deck out of wood pallets (much DIY). The carpet makes it look decent, though!_DSC1601copy

What’s your favorite drink for summer? How are you celebrating the 4th? What are you wearing for your celebration?

I hope you all had/are having a great 4th of July! Cheers to all of you!
